The Erasmus+ project Gender and Philosophy consists of four individual summer schools held at one of four participating universities in the summers of 2016 and 2017. Each summer school will address certain aspects of gender and philosophy and contributes to the development of a Joint Nordic Master Program in Feminist Philosophy.
The first summer school will be on the philosophy of the body and will be held in Reykjavík, Iceland, the 23rd-27th of May 2016. The Summer School in Reykjavík is now open for applications and the application deadline is the 15th of February. The Summer School in Jyväskylä will be open for applications from the 1st of March until the 15th of April. About the Project
Gender and Philosophy was established in the fall of 2015, and is a collaborative project of four Nordic Universities: Aalborg University in Denmark, the University of Iceland, the University of Jyväskylä in Finland and the University of Oslo in Norway. The project contributes to establishing a Joint Nordic Master Program in Feminist Philosophy by producing new approaches, methods and pedagogics to be implemented into the curricula of the Master’s Program. The Program will be launched after the summer schools and run by the Universities of Iceland, Jyväskylä and Oslo, in cooperation with the Aalborg University. The Program will be designed to attract students from within and beyond the European area.
