Helsingin yliopistolla 24. – 25.11. 2011 järjestettävä Romantic Intermediality – konferenssi keskittyy romantiikan ajan taiteidenvälisten suhteiden analyysiin kirjallisuuden, kuvataiteiden ja musiikin tarjoamien esimerkkien avulla.
Intermediaalisuuden kautta eri taiteenlajien välillä tapahtuvaa vuorovaikutusta voidaan hahmottaa nykyisen media -teorian tarjoaman käsitteistön avulla.
Kansainvälisen konferenssin pääpuhujat ovat Professori James Cisneros Montrealin yliopistosta Kanadasta ja Professori Peter Wagner Landaun yliopistosta Saksasta. Luennoitsijoina on myös alan asiantuntijoita useista Euroopan maista sekä Yhdysvalloista.
